I offer both standard therapy and DBT therapy.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) follows a specific and more structured protocol in treatment. It has been researched as an effective modality to help in individuals who struggle with emotional regulation, impulsivity, persistent difficulty in interpersonal relationships, self-harm behaviors, and suicidal/homicidal ideation. DBT also includes in-the-moment phone coaching  to help individuals use DBT skills in real-time and seek assistance if they get stuck.

Standard therapy allows for more flexibility in our work together. It is what most people think of when they think about talk therapy. I still utilize specific counseling theory and interventions, however, standard therapy provides more flexibility within our sessions in topics we explore and activities used.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available. It is my hope to help my mental health care more accessible. Please reach out to assess fees of services if cost is a potential barrier for you.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services,  including psychotherapy services.

“Painful feelings are, by their very nature, temporary. They will weaken over time as long as we don’t prolong or amplify them through resistance or avoidance. The only way to eventually free ourselves from debilitating pain, therefore, is to be with it as it is. The only way out is through.” - Kristin Neff
